BEFORE THE CRISIS: Threat Assessment Training
Students make threats to hurt themselves or others using social media, cell phones or  conversations with peers. What is your plan to analyze, act, and support your students? This academy offers threat assessment training considered to be “best practice” by the U.S. Department of Education. and the U.S. Secret Service and will enable participants to assess the severity of a threat, analyze the safety of the students and staff, and develop a plan of action to protect them. Valuable resources, including documentation, scripted protocols as well as guidance for decision making for students with IEP’s, 504, and/or BIP plans and SB100 compliance are included with the course.
